REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL
CONCRETE RETAINING WALL & STAIRCASE REPLACEMENT CONSTRUCTION PROJECT
The Historical Association of Catawba County is requesting Requests for Proposals (RFPs) from licensed general contractors for the purpose of completing a concrete wall and stairs restoration project at the Harper House, 310 N. Center Street in Hickory, NC. The project involves two main components:
1) Removal of the existing rock wall and construction of a new reinforced concrete wall located along the entirety of 3rd Ave. NE (approximately 217 feet); and
2) Stairs/walls/column replacement for the entry stairs from the sidewalk on 3rd Ave. NE to the entry way of the Harper House
A pre-bid meeting is scheduled for October 20, 2025 at 4:00 p.m. at the Harper House. Interested contractors are advised to attend but the meeting is not mandatory.
