NOTICE TO BIDDERS

Sealed proposals will be received by the N.C. Department of Natural and Cultural Resources up to 3:00 pm on Thursday, August 28, 2025 in the Archives and Library Building; 109 E. Jones St Raleigh, NC 27601; East Mezzanine Historic Research Library Room M26; Attn: David Bateman; Capital Projects, and immediately thereafter publicly opened and read for the furnishing of labor, material and equipment entering into the construction of :

House in the Horseshoe – New Visitor Center 288 Alston House Rd, Sanford, NC 27330

 SCO#: 23-27163-01A

Work includes new construction, with site improvements, of a +/- 4,000-SF visitor center with +/- 500 SF exterior porch in Moore County, N.C. at the House in the Horseshoe state historic site. The scope also includes the demolition of the current visitor center. All proposals shall be lump sum.

Pre-Bid Meeting

An open pre-bid meeting for all General Contractors interested in bidding, will be held at 10:30 am on July 31, 2025 at House in the Horseshoe Historic Site; 288 Alston House Rd, Sanford, NC 27330 The meeting will address project specific questions, issues, bidding procedures, and bid forms.
