NOTICE TO BIDDERS

Sealed proposals will be received by the N.C. Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services, NC State Fairgrounds up to 2:00 pm on Tuesday, July 22, 2025 in the Administration Building Conference Room at the NC State Fairgrounds, attn: Andrew Meier, and immediately thereafter publicly opened and read for the furnishing of labor, material and equipment entering into the construction of:

NC State Fairgrounds Holshouser Building Renovation 4285 Trinity Road,

Raleigh, NC 27607 SCO#: 23-26472-02A

Work includes renovation of the existing Holshouser Building on the NC State Fairgrounds. Exterior improvements include complete re-roofing, repair and new glazing at existing steel windows, new aluminum storefront windows and doors, new open-air HVAC enclosures, and enclosing of the existing open-air lobby. Site improvements include new storm drainage around the full perimeter of the building and various utility, landscaping, and accessibility improvements. Interior improvements include complete replacement of existing HVAC system, new lighting, various electrical improvements, new plumbing fixtures, new interior partitions, new toilet accessories, and new interior finishes.

Bids will be received for single prime contract. All proposals shall be lump sum.

Pre-Bid Meeting

An open pre-bid meeting, MANDATORY for General Contractors interested in bidding will be held at 10:00 am on July 8, 2025 at the Holshouser Building within the NC State Fairgrounds campus at 4285 Trinity Road, Raleigh, NC 27607. The meeting will address project specific questions, issues, bidding procedures and forms.

Complete plans, specifications and contract documents will be open for inspection through contact with Hobbs Architects, PA, 159 W. Salisbury Street, Pittsboro, NC, (919) 545-2004; in the plan rooms of the Associated General Contractors, Carolinas Branch, Raleigh and Greensboro, in the local North Carolina offices of McGraw- Hill Dodge Corporation, in the Eastern Regional Office of Reed Construction Data in Norcross, GA and in Minority Plan Rooms as follows:
