Pursuant to NC General Statutes 143-129, sealed bids will be received by the Town of Apex for the furnishing of all materials and construction of the Sunset Hills Lift Station Improvements.

Sealed Bids for the construction of the Sunset Hills Lift Station Improvements will be received by The Town of Apex, at the Water Administration Building 105-B Upchurch Street Apex, North Carolina 27502 until 11:00 am local time on Thursday August 31st at which time the Bids received will be publicly opened and read. The Project consists of constructing a new 550 gpm (interim capacity) and future 1,800 gpm (buildout capacity) wastewater pump station and abandonment of an existing 500 gpm wastewater pump station.

Sealed bids should be submitted to the Town of Apex, 105-B Upchurch Street Apex, North Carolina 27502, Attn: Matt Reker and marked “Sunset Hills Lift Station Improvements – Wednesday August 31st – 1:00 pm.” All bids must be accompanied by a 5% bid bond and shall be subject to the conditions provided in the Instructions to Bidders. Bidders shall submit with their Bids affidavits of “Good Faith Efforts” in the recruitment of Minority Businesses.

Bids will be received for a single prime Contract. Bids shall be on a lump sum and unit price basis, with additive alternate bid items as indicated in the Bid Form.

Bidding Documents may be examined and obtained online at Construct Connect and Dodge Plan rooms, Town of Apex Bid and Proposal Postings, and in-person at the office of Accent Imaging 8121 Brownleigh Dr, Raleigh, NC 27617, Mondays through Fridays between the hours of 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Printed Bidding Documents may be obtained from Accent Imaging either via in-person pick-up or via mail, upon receipt of payment for the Bidding Documents. The non-refundable cost of printed Bidding Documents is $150 per set for plans and $100 per set for specifications, payable to Accent Imaging plus a non-refundable shipping charge. Upon receipt of payment, printed Bidding Documents will be sent via the prospective Bidder’s delivery method of choice; the shipping charge will depend on the shipping method chosen. The date that the Bidding Documents are transmitted will be considered the prospective Bidder’s date of receipt of the Bidding Documents. Partial sets of Bidding Documents will not be available from the Issuing Office. Neither Owner nor Engineer will be responsible for full or partial sets of Bidding Documents, including Addenda if any, obtained from sources other than the Issuing Office.

Bidders shall submit documentation of their efforts as well as affidavits of their good faith efforts in the recruitment of small, minority, and women owned businesses.
