Pittsboro Lift Station and Force Main Project

The City of Sanford (Owner) is requesting Statements of Qualifications from qualified Construction Manager at Risk (CMAR) organizations for the construction of the above-mentioned project, and related pre-construction and procurement CMAR services.

Generally, the project consists of:

o    Construction of approximately 69,000 linear feet of 18-inch force main, providing 2 million gallons per day to 5 million gallons per day of flow capacity from the proposed Pittsboro lift station. 

o    Construction of the Pittsboro lift station near the Town of Pittsboro’s current Wastewater Treatment Facility located at 485 S. Small Street, Pittsboro, NC  27312.   Average daily flow capacity should be 2 million gallons per day, expandable to 5 million gallons per day.

 

A t the City’s discretion, additional scope in the form of water system improvements may be added to the project, including but not limited to the following:

o    Construction of approximately 37,400 linear feet of pipeline connecting to the City of Sanford’s proposed water transmission main along Old US1 at Pea Ridge Road extending to a connection with the Town of Pittsboro. 

o    Construction of a 1.5-million-gallon storage tank and booster pump station capable of pumping 6 million gallons per day.

 

Statements of Qualifications demonstrating the Respondent’s qualifications and ability to construct the Project will be received by email sent to Cara Lockrem at cara.lockrem@freese.com until August 17, 2023, at 10 A.M. local time.

The pre-SOQ meeting will be held via MS Teams on Thursday, July 13th at 1.30 PM.  Respondents should contact Cara Lockrem directly for an invite with the MS Teams information.

Respondents are responsible for ensuring receipt of their SOQ by the stated date and time. Respondents are responsible for review of any addenda for the project and shall acknowledge the addenda in the SOQ.
