Fire Station 2 will be a 1,200 sqft addition including riser room, storage, and exercise room. Renovations to the existing fire station will be for installation of the new sprinkler system.

Sealed proposals from qualified bidders will be received by Shannon Poole, Construction Project
Administrator with the TOWN OF CLAYTON until Thursday July 14, 2022 at 2:00 pm
(Eastern Standard Time). Bids that arrive after the due date and time will not be accepted or
considered for any reason whatsoever. Bids will be opened and read directly after 2:00pm on
Thursday July 14, 2022 in the Town Chambers located at 111 East Second Street, Clayton, NC for the
furnishing of labor, material and equipment entering into the construction of:
Town of Clayton Fire Station 1 and 2 Additions

Pre-bid meeting will be held on Wednesday June 15 at 10:00 AM (Eastern Standard Time) at the Town
Chambers located at 111 East Second Street, Clayton, NC. Attendance is non-mandatory but strongly
suggested. Bids from vendors not attending the pre-bid meeting will be considered. The meeting
will address project specific questions, issues, bidding procedures and bid forms. The meeting is
also to identify preferred brand alternates and their performance standards that the owner will
consider for approval on this project. Justification of any approvals will be made
available to the public in writing no later than seven (7) days prior to bid date. Requests for
clarifications and questions pre/post pre-bid meeting must be received by the Town no later than
4:00pm (Eastern Standard Time) on July 5, 2022. The Town will not entertain any
further questions after this date. All questions will be answered by issuance of Addendum no later
than July 7, 2022.

condition (as determined by HH Architecture) within ten (10) days after the bid date.
