The City of Sanford is soliciting Bids for the construction of the following Project:
Corinth Road Sewer Extension

Sealed Bids must be delivered to the City of Sanford, Council Chambers, 225 E Weatherspoon Street,
Sanford, NC 27330, no later than 2:00 PM, June 23, 2022. The Bids will be publicly opened and read
aloud at this time and place. A virtual bid opening will also be offered. To participate in the
virtual bid opening you must email Sam Beavans at sam.beavans@freese.com no later than 10:00 AM
local time on June 23, 2022. Bids received after this time will be returned unopened. Address Bids

The Owner reserves the right to waive any informality or to reject any or all Bids. Unless all Bids
are rejected, Award will be made to the lowest responsible Bidder, taking into consideration
quality, performance and the time specified in the proposals for the performance of the Contract.

A Non-Mandatory Pre-Bid Meeting will be held at 2:00 PM, June 9, 2022 virtually and at the West End
Conference Room, 225 E Weatherspoon Street, Sanford, NC 27330. Interested parties are encouraged to
attend this conference to review plans and ask for additional information or clarification.
Attendance at the Pre-Bid Meeting is highly encouraged but is not mandatory.

no later than 10:00 AM local time on June 9, 2022. You will be provided with the information to
join the meeting prior to the meeting.

This Project is generally described as follows:

• Construction of the Corinth Road Sewer Extension project consisting of a 36” DIP
gravity sewer including all materials, equipment, installation, testing, labor, and incidental for
all work for a complete working system as required by the Plans and Specifications.

• The project will be bid with alternates including 36” PVC, 30” DIP and 30” PVC. The
City will select the size and material following bid opening.

and at the following plan rooms:

The drawings and specifications will be available on Friday May 27, 2022 and may be reviewed online
