Sealed Bids will be received by the City of Raleigh Parks, Recreation and Cultural Resources
Department at the Norman and Betty Camp Education Center, Walnut Creek Room, 950 Peterson St. Raleigh, NC 27610 until 1:00PM local prevailing time on Thursday, September 16, 2021 and immediately thereafter publicly opened and read aloud for the furnishing of labor, material, and equipment for the Walnut Creek Wetland Park Improvements. General Contractors are asked to only send one (1) representative to the Bid Opening. Bid Opening attendees are required to wear masks and maintain social distancing during the Bid Opening.

The project will include improvements to the existing Walnut Creek Wetland Park as follows:
addition of a 10-foot wide paved concrete trail spur from the building to Little Rock Creek
Greenway Trail with a paved spur trail connecting to natural surface trails; addition of a concrete
sidewalk from the existing building to Peterson St; a 11- foot concrete boardwalk bridge crossing
over Little Rock Creek; addition of a 24×24 floating teaching platform with a shade sail off the
existing Little Rock Creek Greenway Trail; addition of 4-foot wide natural surface trails along
Walnut Creek from Bailey Dr to State St; a 4-foot wide concrete boardwalk trail across wetland
between Walnut Creek and Bailey Dr; and concrete stairs to connect the natural surface trails to
State St. The project also includes several interpretive panels across the park for environmental
learning and other Work indicated in the Contract Documents.

A Mandatory Pre-Bid Meeting will be held at 10:00 AM, local prevailing time on Monday, August 16,
2021 at the Norman and Betty Camp Education Center, Walnut Creek Room, 950 Peterson St. Raleigh, NC
27610. Interested General Contractors are asked to only send one (1) representative. A tour of the
Project Area within the Walnut Creek Wetland Park will be held following the Pre-Bid Meeting.

All attendees are required to wear masks and maintain social distancing during the Pre-Bid Meeting
and Tour.

Following review of pre-bid meeting agenda items, participants will be allowed to ask questions
related to the project scope of work. Other questions will be received ONLY in written form. The
deadline to submit written questions to the Engineer is 4:00PM local prevailing time on Tuesday,
August 24, 2021.
