Sealed Bids will be received until 1:00 PM, Monday, July 26, 2021, outside the front of the Raleigh
Municipal Building at 222 W. Hargett Street, at which time and place bids will be publicly opened
and read aloud for the construction of the Bridge Structure Replacement Project (37 & 88).
After Bids are opened, the Owner shall evaluate them in accordance with the methods and criteria
set forth in the Instructions to Bidders. The Owner/City Council reserves the right to waive any
informality or to reject any or all Bids. Unless all Bids are rejected, Award will be made to the
lowest responsible and responsive Bidder, taking into consideration quality, performance and the
time specified in the Bid Form for the performance of the Contract.
The Project consists generally of the following major items:
Bridge Project 37 consists of replacing the existing timber pedestrian bridge structure with a
12-foot wide prefabricated steel pedestrian structure within the proximity of the existing
Bridge Project 88 consists of replacing the existing timber pedestrian bridge structure with a
steel and concrete bridge that has a clear 10 ft. deck width.

Contract documents can be purchased from Accent Imaging for a non- refundable fee of One Hundred
