  Q: What is the cost?

  Q: How do you bill?  
 

A: Billing is monthly or annually. You decide on whether you want to pay per project or if you would like annual unlimited projects. We can charge to your account or credit card.

 
 
 
  Q: Do I have to sign up for a long term contract?  
 

A: With PlanScope you can choose to pay month to month per project with no commitment. If you decide that you would like unlimited projects, we ask that you sign a year contract with the right to cancel at any time given a 30 day notice.

 
 
 
  Q: Do I have to install any special software to use PlanScope?  
 

A: Microsoft Internet Explorer V5.5 or above is the only software required to fully utilize all the features of PlanScope. Before a user can use the Brava viewer, an ActiveX control will be installed behind the scenes.

 
 
 
  Q: What file extensions can I upload into PlanScope?  
 

A: Over 150 common file types are available for viewing and markup, including all types of CAD. Image file extensions such as .TIF, .PDF and Microsoft Office files including Word (.doc), Excel (.xls), Power point (.ppt), as well as MS Project are recognized by our viewer.

 
 
 
  Q: My firm uses Apple Mac computers. Can I use PlanScope?  
 

A: PlanScope runs on Microsoft Internet Explorer 5.5 or above. If your firm owns the newer Intel-based Macs, then it would be possible to boot into the Windows Operating system and run PlanScope from there, but otherwise it is not compatible with the Mac operating system which doesn’t support MS Internet Explorer.

 
 
 
  Q: Can I view and markup a document at the same time as someone else?  
 

A: PlanScope is internet based, and is designed to allow several team members to access the same file from their own computer at the same time. This is great for phone meetings and online collaboration. Each team member’s markups and comments are automatically saved in an easily identifiable markup history list that is document specific.

 
 
 
  Q: Will I be notified when a file is uploaded or is modified?  
 

A: With the very convient notification feature, you can “subscribe” to automatic e-mail notification for upload, download, deletions, markups, topics/notes and creation of new folders. For instance, if you are subscribed to markup notification on a particular folder, you will receive an e-mail link that will take you directly to the markup/redline on files in that folder immediately after a team member creates the markup.

 
 
 
  Q: Can I upload my documents and drawings easily?  
 

A: You can upload by simply using the “Upload File” button within PlanScope and browsing your computer and selecting which file(s) or folders. You can also bulk upload or download. You can upload zipped files and PlanScope will automatically unzip and publish your files.

 
 
 
  Q: How do I add a user?  
 

A: From the home page of your project, click on the “edit” button in the upper right hand corner. Then click on the “users” button. Simply add a name and e-mail address, set the permissions and save. The new user will immediately receive a computer generated password with easy to follow directions to log in. The new user will be asked to create their own password and secret question in case they forget their password. If you want to add a user that is already a member of PlanScope you can simply click on the users name that is located in the members list then set their permissions and click save.
